Who We Are
Formed by a group of local professionals committed to helping more residents rebuild, preserve the character of Altadena, and use collective resources to create more affordable rebuilding options, Altadena Collective brings together community advocacy, rebuilding guidance, and design expertise.
Tim Vordtriede lost his home in the Eaton Fire, and after an early Janes Village Rebuild Zoom meeting, began sharing ideas and goals with Chris Driscoll and Chris Corbett. The collective was quickly formed as a grassroots effort to give back to the neighborhood. Since then, the group has expanded to collaborate with real estate professionals, project managers, architects, designers, and other local partners.
The Altadena Collective operates primarily as a community organization focused on supporting residents through the rebuilding process, with architectural and design services available through the NardiHaus architecture and administrative team. The collective’s approach is inspired by the Marshall Fire rebuild group in Colorado, which achieved one of the highest and fastest rebuild rates among post-fire recovery efforts.
Chris Driscoll

Christopher Driscoll is an architect based in Los Angeles and the owner of NardiHaus, a design-focused architecture studio specializing in residential design, entitlements, and permitting. With more than 14 years of experience, his work includes single-family homes, ADUs, multifamily housing, hospitality, and civic projects.

Timothy Vordtriede is the founder of Vordtriede & Company, a residential design studio focused on design, consultant coordination, construction feasibility, and permit expediting. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University and has been working on residential and commercial projects in Southern California since 2006.
Chris Corbett
Dreamers & Doers
Christopher Corbett is the founder and creative director of Dreamers & Doers, with over 15 years of experience in architecture and themed entertainment. He holds a Master of Architecture from Yale University and previously worked at Walt Disney Imagineering, contributing to international projects including Disneytown at Shanghai Disneyland Resort.

Brass Tacks
Brass-Tacks is a community-driven platform that connects homeowners with vetted general contractors, making it easier to find the right fit through a transparent, relationship-focused process. Created by Altadena residents who lost their homes in the Eaton Fire, the team brings firsthand experience and a deep commitment to rebuilding the community with care and integrity. In partnership with Altadena Collective, Brass-Tacks was founded to protect homeowners from being taken advantage of and to ensure no one navigates the rebuilding process alone. The platform provides access to trusted builders, guidance through bidding and construction, and support with insurance, helping homeowners move forward with clarity, confidence, and the backing of people who truly understand the stakes.

With deep roots in Altadena, James has spent his career helping families find and build their homes. After losing his own property in the Eaton Fire, he expanded his focus to helping the community rebuild, drawing on his experience with ground-up ADUs and renovations that honor the character and resilience of Altadena.

After losing her home in the Eaton Fire, Angela left her career in project management and recruiting to focus on rebuilding her community. With real estate experience and firsthand insight into underinsurance, she immersed herself in architecture and construction while working with Altadena Collective and Brass Tacks.
Hanna Peddie
Brass Tacks
Hanna Peddie, an Eaton Fire survivor and longtime Altadena resident, brings a strong background in administration to help guide families through the rebuilding process. Drawing from personal experience, she focuses on creating structure, clarity, and stability, helping homeowners move forward with confidence and hope.
